Do All Things with Kindness

All the goodness and kindness we have given for people are like saving money in the bank.
Those things can increase our rewards from God the almighty.
Every tiny deed will always count correctly, never miss even in a blink of eyes, and never put your doubt in between. God will count correctly.
The thing is that you don’t need to be looked by others.
You just need God’s legitimation.
Don’t feel regrets just do things with kindness,
 it will carry you to a peace of mind.
Spreading your love to others are like splashing the fragrant around us.
The more you splash the fragrant, the more rewards will be saved.
Besides, people can smile wider because of your kindness.  




The Effectiveness of Learning English Vocabulary Using Pictures to the Elementary Students


1. Background of Study
We have known that English is an international language that has been received by countries all over the world. Besides, English language is an important tool to bridge into international development. As Brown states (2010:118) that; “English takes on more and more of second language role in a country”. In Indonesia, English is learnt and taught starting from kindergarten until university. It means something that important for students to be taught at school. English is considered as a difficult subject for the Indonesian students, because English is completely different form Indonesia language being look at from the system of structure, pronunciation and vocabulary.
In English lesson, there are some skills to be learnt, there are reading, speaking, writing and listening. Other aspect that important is to memorize the vocabulary and why the vocabulary is important because it appears in every language skills, English as a foreign language as stated in the Collier-Macmillan International; “Once a student has mastered the fundamental grammatical patterns of a language, his next task into master its vocabulary that he needs. Nobody ever learns all the words in any language. We know and use the words that suit our particular purposes and we continue to learn new words as long as we live”.
 However, there are some problems that make English vocabulary is difficult to be learnt and especially for elementary students. Sometimes the students find the difficulties in order to memorize the vocabularies. In this case, the teacher has a responsibility to help the students in memorizing the vocabulary. The teacher has to motivate the student to learn English in the class, and create the method of teaching.
In memorizing the vocabulary, the teacher should have the idea to help the students. The creativity is needed to increase the learning system; but the fact is that the teacher finds the difficulty in teaching vocabulary. The teachers should have the method to increase the ability in memorizing the vocabulary. Using the pictures is one of the methods learning system, because by showing the picture, it makes the students easier to memorize and understand the meaning through the objects.
 Based on the fact above the writer interested to do the research, and it is about how the pictures make the students easier to memorize the vocabulary and why the pictures increase English vocabulary.
Statement Problem
Based on the background above, the researcher would like to research about:
1. How the pictures bring the meaning easily in order to memorize the English vocabulary for elementary school?
2. Why the pictures shape the concept of words meaning easily?
Objective of Study
In this research, the researcher needs to know the effectiveness of learning vocabulary by using pictures especially for elementary students.
Scope of Study
The study overviews the teaching of English vocabulary through pictures to young learners/Elementary students, in this especially to elementary students. An observation conducted to private students that involved one teacher, and three students.

SIGNIFICANCE OF STUDY
By conducting the research, the writer hopes that:
1. The result of this research will give some important information to develop the teacher’s creativity to teach vocabulary for children.
2. The result of this research also can be useful for other researchers who make other research.

Theoretical Approaches
For the analysis, the writer chooses several theories stating that the productive way for teaching vocabulary is by using pictures. Furthermore, pictures are chosen to be a tool to help the students to understand the object and they will memorize the name of the things easily. Yang Li Shing, in his article explained, “The picture has an irascible appeal for the children. They created suspense and surprises as well as interest, all of which are indispensable in teaching and learning a foreign language” (Learning Words, XIX, 1981) and other expert stated, “Picture is a two dimensions visual representation of person, places, or things. Photograph prints are most common, but sketches, cartoons, murals, cut outs, charts, graphs and map are widely used” (Vermon, S, Gerald and Donald P. Emily, teaching and media systematic Approach 2nd)




Method of Research
In this research, the researcher uses the learning English vocabulary using pictures and learns about how to teach effectively by using picture and the researcher collects the data and applies the method to the elementary students. Next, the researcher will differentiate the learning system. It means before and after using the pictures to understand and memorize the meaning of words.

Thesis Organization
This thesis will be divided into four chapters :
Chapter 1 is Introduction that consists of background of study, statement problem, significance of study, scope of study, theoretical approach, method of research, and thesis organization.
Chapter 2 is the theoretical review, where the researcher will take several quotes of English learning method, and English vocabulary through pictures.
Chapter 3 is the analysis. In this chapter, the researcher will analyze the effectiveness of using picture for learning English Vocabulary, especially for second grade elementary school.
Chapter 4 is the last chapter that consists of suggestion and Conclusion.
